The editor is a great expert with over 40,000 citations and is very responsible. According to Research Square's data, the editor sent review requests to 20 people, and ultimately 16 people agreed to review. At that time, they were scared and thought they would be attacked and killed. The first review result was a major revision, which only included the opinions of two reviewers. One reviewer was almost accepting, with only one small suggestion and a few spelling corrections. The other reviewer was more strict, pointing out the flaws in the article and suggesting modifications. After carefully studying the second reviewer's opinions, additional data analysis, result organization, figure creation, and article modifications took a total of one month. The acceptance was received one week after the response.

Review speed: 2.0 Experience sharing: It took five months from submission to publication, which feels quite fast. There were two major revisions and one minor revision in between. The first major revision had no comments from the editor, but there were many suggestions from the three reviewers. The second major revision had no comments from the reviewers, but the editor asked many difficult questions. I replied with a cool attitude, but to my surprise, a few days later, a different editor gave a minor revision, which only required some formatting changes and was returned within a week. The efficiency felt quite high, and the article was published in less than ten days after the final submission

This journal was really slow. I submitted for the reason that it was a time-honored journal. However, the editor was fast, it was under review directly in three days after submission. Maybe it was really difficult to find the reviewers for my article. One reviewer who had good evaluation on my article quitted during the period. Let’s briefly describe the process, hope it will be helpful to you! 2019.3.13, submission; 2019.3.15, under review; 2019.7.20, major revision; 2018.8.15, revision was submitted; 2020.1.8 major revision (the reviewer changed, I urged once per month and wanted to withdraw it, but the editor retained); 2020.1.31, revision was submitted; 2020.3.2, the comments of review were returned; 2020.3.3, under editor’s evaluation; 2020.3.4, accepted. It took nearly one year, which was really slow. However, the quality of the review was high, which improved the article a lot. Different opinions were raised, and enough arguments were found; they also thought very carefully.
