For the first one, it took over a month each time to hear any updates from the editor. However, the second one was sent for review the very next day. The process with the editor is quite fast, taking about 2-3 days. It may go through around 2 editors before reaching the actual chief editor. The duration with the editor is uncertain, as I have waited for about a month and it changed to "under review". However, it may not necessarily mean it is truly under review, as contacting the reviewers can change the status to "under review", but it may take a long time for someone to agree to review it.

Posted in November 2021, the first round of comments was returned in March 2022. After making major revisions in the same month, the second round of comments was returned in April 2022, this time with minor revisions. Three days later, the revised paper was accepted.

Share it here to repay the seniors for their experience that I read before my submission. 2018.11.12 submitted; 2018.11.28 under review; 2018.12.19 under Editor evaluation; 2019.01.04 First decision (It took half a month during which a Christmas was interval); 2019.03.05 revision submitted; 2019.03.20 accepted. I personally thought it was very fast. It took 4 months in total because of the Christmas and the delay in revision and submission by myself. Otherwise, it can be faster.
