Nucleic Acids Research (NAR) publishes the results of leading edge research into physical, chemical, biochemical and biological aspects of nucleic acids and proteins involved in nucleic acid metabolism and/or interactions. It enables the rapid publication of papers under the following categories: Chemistry and synthetic biology; Computational biology; Gene regulation, chromatin and epigenetics; Genome integrity, repair and replication; Genomics; Molecular biology; Nucleic acid enzymes; RNA and Structural biology. A Survey and Summary section provides a format for brief reviews. The first issue of each year is devoted to biological databases, and an issue in July is devoted to papers describing web-based software resources of value to the biological community.

NAR Methods Online provides a forum for the online publication of methods papers.

There wasn't much about the algorithm part of the bioinformatics in the article, maybe the emphasis was on the analysis content. I also submitted to the database section, first submitting an abstract, and then the editor decides whether to submit the full text. However, it was rejected, and there was no follow-up

Experience sharing: It seems to be quite good to publish bioinformatics articles here. I have submitted two articles before (one on databases and one on algorithms), both of which were accepted. The one I am currently submitting is also being revised. It's hard to say what the acceptance rate is, as it varies from person to person. Special issues on databases are relatively easy to get accepted in, although the acceptance rate has recently dropped to about 20% because there are many submissions

One person in the same group has selectd for NAR.There is not much algorithm part of the article bioinformatics, and it may focus on the content of the analysis.

Old journal, the quality of this journal is very high, although the impact factor is not very high, but this year's impact factor has followed (7.6 seems).However, if the article is received, it will cost a large amount of publishing fee, as if it is more than 30,000. Therefore, it is difficult for the laboratory that is not rich and rich, and of course, it is not necessary to submit a manuscript to the journal.The publication of many databases on a yearly basis is important for researchers in nucleic acid and nucleases.Like other classic journals in molecular biology (such as EMBO J, RNA, etc.), there are not many articles published by the Chinese in this journal. There are few, if any, laboratories with considerable experimental basis or considerable connections.

Bioinformatics articles seem to be very good when sent here.Two previous ones (a database, an algorithm) were accepted.An article being submitted is also being revised.In fact, it is hard to say how much the hit rate is, and it varies from person to person.The database special issue is relatively good, and the acceptance rate is also very low recently, almost 20%, because there are many people who select.

The time for the second trial is longer than the time for the first trial~ Very surprised!!! Maybe it's because it happens to be Christmas + New Year~ Overall~ There are not many molecular biology journals that will drop their impact factor~ Highly recommend NAR!!!

Our lab just published a paper:  Differential regulation of mRNA stability controls the transient expression of genes encoding Drosophila antimicrobial peptide with distinct immune response characteristics.   Wei Y, Xiao Q, Zhang T, Mou Z, You J, Ma WJ.  Nucleic Acids Res. 2009 Oct;37(19):6550-61 Reaction was pretty good, about a month, there is news. Our research on antimicrobial peptides requires in-depth and systematic work. This article took more than three years to come out
