planta is a friendly journal. Reviewers are not harsh on the manuscript. As long as the editor and reviewer feel that the article is the right level, you will be invited to modify it. My personal opinion: the journal is known for its metabolism and physiology, and there are many articles on metabolism. Of course, plant molecular biology has made the characteristics of the journal not obvious. Most of the articles describe the physiological resistance of a gene, a transgenic plant (model plant). Compared with PCP and PMB, manuscripts submitted here are more likely to be accepted.
