This journal has a long submission process in pharmacology and medicine. It took me 8 months from submission to acceptance, during which the reviewers requested WB3 repeated experiments. The reviewers' questions were very professional, and it took me an additional 3-4 months to conduct the supplementary experiments. You were lucky to be accepted directly in 3 months, but not everyone is as lucky as you when submitting to this journal. I checked the data of JAR: 212 articles in 2024 and 372 articles in 2025 (doubled), but the IF in 2025 is 13.0, and the timely IF in March 2026 has reached 15. Self-citation rate is 0.7%, acceptance rate is 5-6%. The data is clear: the number of articles has increased by 75%, and the IF is also increasing, not relying on self-citation. Obviously, the basic plate is the same as last year, so why are the categories different?
