After the first major revision, I waited for two months for a response, only to find that a new group of reviewers had been assigned and they provided completely different opinions. Several reviewers even directly suggested that the author should cite their own articles. After two major revisions, minor revisions were requested and the revised manuscript was accepted in two to three days.

Overall, the feedback provided was quite reasonable and the article did improve after the revisions. The only downside was the extremely slow process, which was somewhat understandable for a completely free journal. However, with the sharp decline in impact factor this year, it's hard to predict the future. I regret submitting to this journal, but luckily it was not a very important publication. Submitted on May 11, 2024, online on May 10, 2025, the reviewers of the journal are quite responsible, and the revision comments greatly improved the overall quality of the article (also because we originally wrote it poorly, basically considered a rewrite, and also added a lot of experiments). The review cycle is about 2-2.5 months per round, with a very short time given for revisions, only 10 days for the second round. However, sometimes there is a phenomenon of reviewer changes during the review process, and after the second round of revisions, we waited for more than three months before acceptance. The journal's eproof is relatively slow, I waited for 3 weeks, almost 7-10 days online.
