Since the submission on June 19th, the manuscript has been in "with editor" status. I have sent three reminder emails, and on July 27th, the status changed to "editor invited" and has remained unchanged since then. I am wondering if the "editor invited" status means that the manuscript has been sent out for external review by experts or if it is still waiting for the editor to review it.
