After my draft was submitted for external review, no reviewer was willing to review it for over a month, and then it was rejected. The reason given was that no reviewer was willing to review it, possibly because my draft was not attractive to the readers of the magazine, so it was rejected. I am also baffled by this reason and feel it is very unreasonable.

In January, I submitted my paper to OL. The editor hesitated and sought another editor's evaluation, who ultimately politely declined. I then submitted to JOC on February 12th, receiving one major revision, one minor revision, and one rejection. The most frustrating part was being told that my paper lacked innovation, along with two supposedly "similar" articles for reference. However, these two reference articles had significant differences in conditions and spatial structure compared to mine, with the added irony that they were highly similar to each other. One was published in GC and the other in CCL. I couldn't understand how these two articles were successful in publication or passed the innovation review. I considered appealing, but ultimately decided against it due to the time and emotional costs, as well as the subjective nature of the process. So, I resubmitted directly to Omega in sequence. 

On March 1st, my submission was accepted to Omega, along with incorporating the revision suggestions from JOC. On March 23rd, I received feedback - one acceptance and one major revision (which focused on grammar rather than experimental content). I resubmitted on April 1st, experiencing a long wait and feeling the urge to email for updates multiple times. On April 20th, I received feedback on minor formatting issues related to author and institution details. I resubmitted on April 21st, and finally received acceptance on April 24th. On April 26th, I completed the publication agreement and paid the OA fees. On May 2nd, I received the proofreading version, and on May 4th, my paper was published online.

After urging for submission, the pre-acceptance of the revised format is expected in early April. The formal acceptance will take place 10 days later, which went relatively smoothly.
