The reviewers are definitely experts in the field, so professional that it feels like every sentence has been carefully scrutinized. A very good piece of work was rejected after the first review, so I am preparing to make some changes and submit it to Physical Review Letters or Nature Communications.

The initial submission to Nat. Phys. was rejected after the second review, and it was suggested to transfer the submission to Nat. Commun. or npj Quantum Mater. The supervisor decided to have it transferred to npj Quantum Mater. since there are already publications in Nat. Commun. and PRL. The supervisor believes that some articles in this journal are not inferior to PRL. From the review process, the reviewers are very professional and strict, making it difficult for most articles to pass the review. Sometimes, the questions raised by the reviewers are even more important and forward-looking than those from the previous submission to Nat. Commun. Overall, it was a good submission experience and good results are recommended for submission.

To be honest, the quality of the article above is really good. I actually submitted one twice and was rejected both times, it's really tough. Just take a look at the different sections, don't take it too seriously. Journals like CEJ can even be placed in the top tier, there's no one else like them.

The quality of the above article is really good. It may be that the acceptance of articles is very strict. Despite the lack of patience, one submission was not successful, but eventually accepted by PRB. Another submission was rejected in the first review, but eventually accepted by Advanced Science. It feels like a solid condensed matter physics journal, unlike those material journals that are just cooking up stuff with no physics involved. In terms of the level of articles, the physics field is almost reaching (second only to) PRL (top physics journal), with great potential for the future. Very promising.
