The submission to NC was rejected in October 2024, and then recommended to transfer to CC, which was said to be able to be reviewed. At that time, submissions were made to other journals first, without paying attention to this journal. Several journals were also rejected during the desk review. In early June 2025, it was discovered that the journal had been upgraded to a first-tier journal, so the decision to transfer was made. Four reviewers were invited in the process.

By the end of September 2025, major revisions were made. By the end of November 2025, revisions were completed. On December 20, minor revisions were made, and on December 30, further minor revisions were completed. The paper was accepted on January 11, 2026, with formatting adjustments.

Today, I am preparing to pay the fees and make final revisions.

Submitted to Small NC, the editor did not send it for review, but recommended it to CommsChem, saying the editor was interested in the manuscript and would send it for review if transferred (first submission, not sure if the submission rate for the Comms series is relatively high?). Probably transferred in mid-June 2025. The first review took a long time, after the editor found over 10 reviewers, someone finally accepted, and received the first review comments in mid-August, which could be considered as a rejection for resubmission. A month later, submitted a revised manuscript in mid-September, then received an AIP notification in mid-October, and received the official acceptance email about 2 weeks later. The publication speed was relatively slow at the end of the year, and it was not published until mid-December. The above information is for reference, and I wish everyone a smooth submission process.

Submitted by Nc on August 12, 2025; sent for review on August 20th. Two reviewers provided feedback on September 12th, and on September 16th, we were given 6 weeks to make revisions. Both reviewers were quite positive, with a total of 11 issues raised, three of which required additional experiments. Revised manuscript was submitted on October 21st; editorial decision was made on November 4th, and formal acceptance was on November 17th. The entire process from submission to acceptance took 3 months, with a delay of five weeks due to additional experiments and a two-week delay. Otherwise, the manuscript could have been accepted in 2.5 months. Overall, the efficiency was high, with timely and friendly responses from the editors.
