The current processing is very slow. Most submissions are overdue by more than a month. There will definitely be results by July 15th. I resubmitted on March 18th (due on April 15th) and was only accepted on May 27th. However, it is strange that articles published by RAL recently are mostly submissions from January and February, around the same time as mine. I don't know why my submission from November still hasn't been published.

Four reviewers gave very positive feedback (definitely not to the point where I thought it would be rejected). Maybe it was just procrastination. Five months wasted. It really depends on the associate editor whether they will push for a decision or not. Some editors are very enthusiastic, while others don't respond and just reject you directly. Mine was the latter.

A polite email was sent to the senior editor inquiring about the status of the manuscript. 
The editor's response: Unfortunately, one reviewer has contacted multiple times and still has not received any response, so they are discussing how to resolve this issue.
