Hello Lin, first of all, I would like to give a thumbs up to the speed of processing of the journal. I have a small question to ask, in the first round of reviews for my article, one reviewer suggested minor revisions while the other suggested major revisions. In the second round, one reviewer accepted the article while the other suggested minor revisions. However, a new reviewer was added in the second round and suggested major revisions. Currently, in the third round of revisions, only two reviewers have been assigned (presumably the new reviewer from the second round and the reviewer who suggested minor revisions). One reviewer completed their review within a week, but the other one has not accepted the review yet (it has been 24 days). I would like to know what is the deadline for reviewers to accept the review in the third round, and what should be done if this reviewer continues to not accept the review. Once again, thank you to the editorial team of the journal, and I wish the journal continued success.

Lin, the chief editor, conducted the second review which resulted in minor revisions. Only some formatting suggestions were provided. The editorial department sent a formatting document for the revisions. Once I make the changes, the manuscript will be in the hands of WE. I wanted to inquire whether it will be sent back to the reviewers or if the decision will be made directly by the chief editor. How long will it take for this decision to be made?

All special issues are handled in the same way as regular submissions, and the processing methods are also the same. Special issues do not imply anything special or exceptional.

The difference is that the content of special issues will be concentrated in a particular issue for publication. However, this may also create another issue, as the publication cycles for each paper in a special issue can vary significantly.

The acceptance rate of 18-20% is the percentage of submissions that are accepted after all submissions are received.

If considering manuscripts after the initial review, the acceptance rate is approximately 50%.

Update: Received a notice for major revision on 6/28. One acceptance, one major revision, editor decides for major revision. Returned revised draft on 7/23, entered UR status on 26th, probably still the previous 2 reviewers, one of whom has accepted the review. Really tried my best to make revisions, hoping to receive good news by mid-August.

The initial review process usually takes three weeks [one week for the journal, 2-3 weeks for scientific editing]. No rush.

2. The maximum value is generally 5% (single article) and 15-20% (cumulative for more than 1%).
3. The core content must not be repeated.
