Food Science and Human Wellness is an international peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for the dissemination of the latest scientific results in food science, nutriology, immunology and cross-field research. Articles must present information that is novel, has high impact and interest, and is of high scientific quality. By their effort, it has been developed to promote the public awareness on diet, advocate healthy diet, reduce the harm caused by unreasonable dietary habit, and directs healthy food development for food industrial producers.

I submitted the article in June, and it was still under review a month later. I wrote to the editor to inquire about the status, and was told that they were in the process of finding reviewers. After two weeks, the feedback from two reviewers came back, and after making revisions twice, my article was accepted. I have just submitted the publication fee, and I heard that the publication process is quite slow. I will have to wait and see.

From what you've said, it seems like my situation is also quite uncertain. I submitted my manuscript on September 18th and it's still under review. Can we communicate and maybe add each other as friends? What is the most important aspect for acceptance, innovation, figures, or the written content?

The English version of this food science journal feels particularly discriminatory towards Chinese submissions. I have seen foreigners publish articles even though their content is much simpler than mine and is several times better. My submission was rejected without review...

This is the most frustrating submission I have ever made. After waiting for over a month, the rejection letter I received was completely irrelevant to me. The article title, author, and content all belonged to someone else. I emailed the editor but received no response at all.

The article has been accepted, from submission to acceptance, it took about 5 months, which is quite smooth and the speed is also acceptable. Actually, it was requested for major revisions just a month after submission, but due to the Chinese New Year and being busy, it took some time. After nearly 4 months of revisions, it was accepted in less than 2 weeks after resubmission. The publication process may be a bit slower, but it is still worth recommending to everyone. If you are interested, you can give it a try.

Submitted at the end of August, feedback returned in early November, rejected. It was quite sad to see the rejection, but not so sad to see the reviewers' comments. It seems that the reviewers are not very familiar with some basic experiments, and their suggestions for revision are not very helpful. There are both in vivo and in vitro experiments in the direction of natural substances and neurological diseases, and the mechanisms are clear enough.

Five months should only be on the CNKI online, if you want to be included in the Web of Science, it will take about 2 years.
