Overall, if the budget allows ($2200), I highly recommend this journal. The editorial processing speed is particularly fast, sometimes even updating statuses at night. The work is very detailed. I made a lot of mistakes due to carelessness, otherwise, the process could have been even faster.
This journal has quite strict requirements for figures. Additionally, the reference limit is 50, and it really is strictly enforced.

The processing speed of this journal is quite good. I submitted it at the end of December last year and it was accepted on May 12th this year. The main reason for the long delay is that I didn't know how to handle many processes in the middle. However, this journal does have the most requirements for images among the articles I have submitted. It has been accepted now, but the text in the images needs to be changed, and I don't know how to do it yet

Rejection after Major Revision
First Round: When submitting to this journal for the first time, the journal required the use of their own manuscript template during the first submission round. Citations were not allowed to exceed 50, and the number of accompanying figures and tables was limited (a bit of a hassle). The handling speed of the assistant editor was very fast. The first round of review took 3 months, with major revisions requested by 3 reviewers. The revision comments were quite simple, focusing on clarifying the research problem, purpose, and minor writing issues. There were no requests for changes regarding calculations, experiments, or data. The revised manuscript was submitted within a month. However, submitting the revised manuscript was a huge hassle. This time, the assistant editor required all co-authors to separately sign a contribution declaration and conflict of interest declaration, scan and upload them. Additionally, the requirements for uploading revised figures and tables were different from the first round, and these differences were not mentioned in the editor's letter, making the process feel confusing and inconsistent.
Second Round: After a month, the editor rejected the manuscript. Two reviewers mentioned that the issues from the first round had been effectively addressed and improved, but raised questions about the novelty of the article. One reviewer did not provide any comments.
Conclusion: It seems that this journal is run within a domestic circle, as both the editor and assistant editor encountered were Chinese. The review speed was average, neither slow nor fast, but the submission procedures were very cumbersome. This was the first time encountering such a hassle (articles accepted in other journals didn't have this level of complexity). In the first round of review, two reviewers provided overall positive evaluations, and one was neutral, yet the manuscript was still rejected after major revisions. It was quite a time waste, and I will not submit to this journal again in the future

With the first impact factor in 2020, the coverage of the journal is wide, it is open access, and it is relatively easy to be accepted. The manuscript was submitted in March 2019. Due to the change of journal editors and other reasons, the review cycle is relatively long. Comments were given 8 months later. It was accepted 3 months after revision and published soon afterwards. As the journal is becoming more and more mature, the review speed should change.
