Dear SCSHM community members,

I am writing to provide a brief update on the publication status of the Journal of Civil Structural Health Monitoring (JCSHM).

As previously mentioned, the society and Springer are finalizing the publication agreement for JCSHM. The society has formally communicated its position to Springer, including a constructive way forward to ensure publishing continuity during the negotiation of the new agreement. Springer has acknowledged receipt of our letter and has indicated they will respond in due course. We are currently awaiting their substantive response.

In the meantime, to avoid any confusion, the society has also communicated with relevant colleagues regarding announcements, ensuring that any citing or recommending of publications in JCSHM is temporarily suspended until the publication agreement is formally finalized.

The regular editorial and manuscript handling processes for JCSHM will be temporarily suspended until the publication agreement is finalized. We understand that this delay may cause inconvenience, especially for authors who have already submitted or are preparing manuscripts, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please rest assured that the society is actively engaged in this matter and is committed to resolving it in a way that upholds the integrity, continuity, and long-term partnership with the publisher of the journal. Once the agreement is reached and the editorial workflow is fully restored, we will inform you promptly.
