An extremely disgusting submission experience, submitted in January 2025. Due to being in the under review (UR) stage the whole time without knowing the progress, I urged for the status twice during the process and received template replies from a different reviewer both times. In November, the revised manuscript came back with acceptable reviewer comments, but only one expert reviewed it. The journal requested a resubmission. After resubmitting in December, it returned to the UR status. In early February, there was still no movement. After inquiring via email, it was immediately rejected the next day, with no reasons given, just a template rejection response! It wasted over a year of time, so disgusting!

Not long after submitting the manuscript, it showed "under review", and after nearly 4 months, it was rejected. I am speechless about the reason for rejection. I compared the effects of different teaching methods (implemented in schools) with an ethics number. The reason for rejecting me was that clinical trials require a clinical trial registration number. I suspect that the manuscript was never actually sent out during the 4 months under review. It's incredibly slow, so be careful when submitting. It's also expensive.
