It can only be said that it is getting worse and worse. The reason why the submission to the Chinese Academy of Sciences district is not useful is because after one week of submission, it shows "with review" for nearly two months. Finally, it was rejected by the journal editor as unsuitable. When asked by email, the reply was that the editor did not send it for review, and after two months, there were no review comments. Friends had previously recommended not to submit, but still stepped on a landmine!!!

Bioinformatics, as a well-established top journal in the field of bioinformatics, has a wide scope and has been fully Open Access since around 23 years ago. The journal has a considerable annual publication output and is worth submitting to.
