I was prepared for a long wait and submitted my work on a big weekend and European holiday. Suddenly, I received an email saying it was under review.

Submitted in June 20, 2024, reviewed in mid-August by three reviewers; first round of feedback returned in mid-September, requiring major revisions, two reviewers had mostly positive feedback with minor suggestions, while the third reviewer had many suggestions. Revised in mid-October; second round of review returned in mid-November, one reviewer agreed to accept, another requested minor revisions, and the third reviewer still required major revisions. Revised in mid-December and sent back to only two reviewers for review. In mid-January 2025, all reviewers agreed to accept except for the one reviewer who requested significant changes. The changes were made immediately and resubmitted in mid-February. Submitted for review again in March 2025, but only sent to one reviewer (presumably the same one), who unexpectedly disappeared this time. In April, a new reviewer was assigned by the editor, and feedback was received on May 2nd. As of June 8, 2025, the editor has received feedback but has not made a decision yet. It is unclear what the situation is, and there is a sense of urgency. What should be done? Still waiting...

The irresponsibility of the journal editors is truly unbelievable.

Submitted on March 2024, reviewed on April 1, 2024, and it has been over a year and two months. Still under review, with 4 reviewers assigned and 2 reviews completed. One reviewer has yet to review. An additional reviewer was added in February 2025 for acceptance of the review. However, there have been no updates on the status so far. It's really frustrating, the reviewers are being so irresponsible towards the author.

Why is it so slow? Two reviewers have agreed, one was reviewed and completed in over 30 days, but the other one has been over 90 days and there is still no progress. The editor has not sent a new invitation, and there has been no response after two reminders...

The submission was made in early June, we received feedback the next day. It was sent for review in mid-September, but only one reviewer was assigned. The reviewer returned their comments at the end of September, and currently it is still under review with no further steps taken.

The application submitted in July was under review the next day, and there was no movement until it was rejected on October 3rd. It was indeed quite slow.

I am really speechless. It is unnecessary to take three months to reject a submission, delaying for such a long time, and then to send a rejection in a standard format, just to brush it off! It's incredibly slow, so everyone please be cautious when submitting. Don't expect any surprises, it's too frustrating! Three months wasted.
