This magazine is as slow as ever. Last year, I couldn't find a second reviewer for it, and the editor didn't handle it either. It took five months to finally gather the opinions of two reviewers, and the reviewers' suggestions were all acceptable for revision, but the editor rejected me. I wasted half a year like this, feeling that the editor is purely inefficient.

This journal has been submitted for 5 months, and we sent it for review half a month ago. In the first round of review, 13 reviewers accepted, but it took half a month for them to provide feedback. However, as there were not enough reviewers for the first round, no second round was conducted. Now it has been over 4 months, and emailing the editor and Elsevier customer service has been of no use. It's really outrageous.

On March 11, 2026, the RRC editor has been looking for reviewers during the Chinese New Year period and found the second one, but has not received any feedback. Last week, another reviewer was added and quickly provided feedback to the RRC.

The submission was made on March 6th and sent for review on March 9th. However, after it was under review, my boss did not receive any notification that it had been sent for review, along with the email containing the tracking link to follow the progress of the review. Does Biomaterials no longer provide tracking of the review process? This was available when I submitted to Biomaterials a year ago.
