A very smooth submission. The editors of Biomaterials are very professional, much more so than the Indian editor at AM. Because my research topic on vascular stent materials is relatively niche in the field of biomaterials, and not part of the research groups of Wang Yunbing, Zheng Yufeng, Gao Changyou and other experts in vascular stents, my first submission to AM was rejected by the Indian editor. Subsequent submissions to Angew and Science Advances were also desk rejected. Finally, I submitted to Biomaterials, and the assigned editor at Biomaterials specializes in researching vascular stents. I believe my article gave him a sense of "love at first sight", especially with the high value of the enhanced CT results in the graphic abstract, as well as the bio-inspired materials and integrated surface modification strategies.
