Invested two years ago, now I'll share some experience: It was related to tumor tracing. It was rejected by bioinformatics at that time and then directly submitted to BMC Bioinformatics, and it was successfully reviewed. However, the review process was quite long, with the first review taking four to five months, followed by revisions and then a second review, which was relatively quick and accepted within a month. In summary: the speed is slow (BMC series are generally slower), but the difficulty is not very high (it was my first small article), and there is still some recognition in the field of computational biology.
