Before submitting, the friendly attitude of the editor in the response to the Pre-submission Inquiry letter deceived me. Submitted on August 8th, received request for ethics number on August 12th, replied explaining the reason, then no news for over a month. Sent an email to inquire about the status, and was rejected on September 26th. It was due to our lack of rigorous ethical review that we failed to provide the ethics number in the end, which also delayed the decision for too long...BMC journal has a good reputation, but it is still advisable to be cautious about submitting to it given the rush to graduate.

There were three and a half reviewers' comments in the first review, which were acceptable. Revised in late January this year, it has been two months and still no response. The problems were not all addressed at once, and each time I returned it, there was no news for two months. I emailed the editorial department, but even the editor's personal email did not reply.
