Seeing that others are very quick, I submitted my paper too slowly. It was under review as soon as it was submitted, and after 3 months, I sent two emails inquiring about the status, but received no response. Eventually, it was rejected without any reason given. The official response was: "After careful evaluation, we have decided not to consider publishing your manuscript in the Journal of Management and Decision Economics." Couldn't they have rejected it earlier if it was not suitable? It's just a waste of time.

How long does it usually take for the external review process to proceed? I submitted my manuscript on January 14th and it showed "Under Review" on the same day. However, the status has not changed since then, and it's almost been a month now. I'm not sure at which stage the manuscript is currently. The journal's website states that the average time from submission to the first decision is 10 days...

The process was very fast, submitted on the 9th and accepted on the 17th. There were 3 minor revisions in between and one major revision, but it was accepted directly without any fees.

UR has been changed to uppercase for four months. It should be submitted for external review in about half a month, but the system has not changed. The process will be much faster after UR is changed to uppercase.

Reply to sigma1: I have sent an email to the editorial department reflecting this issue, but the assistant editor only replied with the current status of my manuscript and did not provide a solution. The ScholarOne system is currently unable to accept submissions, and any submissions will be redirected to the Wiley system. Therefore, the only option is to wait for feedback from the editorial department. The information displayed on Wiley is highly delayed and of little value.

Response to Hu: I am the same, and if the number is not starting with MDE-XXXX, it is just a string of numbers. It can only be seen in the Wiley system, not in the ScholarOne system. I emailed the editorial department and they confirmed that the submission was successful.

After submission, the editorial department sent an email saying that usually within one working day, I would receive further emails including additional instructions and the manuscript ID. However, I did not receive any follow-up emails, so I registered with ScholarOne using the same email as my Wiley account. However, after logging into the system, I did not see any information about my submission. Currently, I can only see that the status of my manuscript in the Wiley system is still "UR". I am not sure what your experience was like, and if you know how to check the status of a submission in ScholarOne. Thank you.
