How many reviewers are generally involved in the review process?

Many editors of this magazine are extremely irresponsible. I have encountered a similar situation, and I directly requested to withdraw the submission. It has been seven months, and the first review has not been completed. The system shows that the editor received one review opinion, but did not receive the opinion of another reviewer. The editor has been neglecting the manuscript and has not re-invited reviewers, leaving it untouched for several months. However, the magazine requires reviewers to complete their reviews within two weeks. I have sent four or five emails, one each month, and each time I receive an official response apologizing for the delay and promising to handle it as soon as possible. It seems like they are just dragging it out. Two more months have passed with no progress. Later, the corresponding author sent an email inquiring about the status, and the response was identical to the one received several months ago, a direct copy and paste. This is my first time submitting to this journal, and I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the process. I had heard that this journal was very slow, and was even considering withdrawing my submission. However, it ended up being faster than other journals I have submitted to. I submitted at the end of the year and it was accepted in less than 3 months. The editors and reviewers were very efficient, often processing things the next day. They were also very prompt in answering any questions I had. I am very impressed! Wishing the journal continued success!

The editor-in-chief is very patient. A few days after submitting the manuscript, he requested additional materials and then sent it for review. The review process was terrifying, with 10 experts selected, but in the end only three experts reviewed the manuscript. The chosen reviewers were very professional. Three experts provided major revisions, while two provided minor revisions. After a second round of minor revisions, the manuscript was accepted. The first round of revisions was sent back for review three months later, and the whole process took a total of four months.

Submitted on January 12th and accepted on April 20th, the efficiency throughout the process was quite high. Feedback for revisions will typically be received within two weeks.
