I heard that BMC is very likely to reject requests for expedited review, so I carefully urged the editor. I suspected that by 2025, it may have been to process the backlog of manuscripts, so I started pushing for progress at the beginning of the year 25. The editor later helped me find reviewers. Submitted in early May, the editor received it within a week. I thought BMC wouldn't be as slow as rumored, but it wasn't until the end of August that the review process began. It wasn't until mid-September that the first reviewer appeared. It looks like the rumors were true. I suspect that once the magazine took over, they forgot about it and only reluctantly sent it for review without directly rejecting it. Sigh.

I really can't believe it. After waiting for 3 months for feedback from 4 reviewers, responding to each one, 2 months later reviewers 1 and 2 gave no issues, reviewer 3 suggested integrating the response content into the article, and reviewer 4 seemed to directly reject the paper. The editor asked for major revisions, and after adding experimental results and making revisions, it took another month to receive the rejection letter from reviewer 4, who used a rejection template out of nowhere, and even got the journal name wrong ([the Journal Name]). After over half a year of submission time, I really feel like crying
