It has been almost a month since I submitted, why am I still with editor ?

The journal was submitted for review on the day before summer vacation, and a reviewer accepted the review. The review was completed the day after the 7-day vacation ended. Two days later, the submission was rejected because there were not enough reviewers available, and there were no comments from the only reviewer. Does this reviewer have no reason to reject the submission? Why were no new reviewers invited by the editor? Why were there no comments at all?

I have reviewed a total of six papers for this journal. Almost all of the manuscripts that required revisions were not sent to me until one month later. It seems like the editor of this journal dedicates one day each month to process the manuscripts.

Mine too, it has been almost 10 days since I submitted and it is still in Revision Submitted to Journal status. I emailed the editor and received a reply the next day, saying the format was incorrect and the manuscript was returned. After resubmitting, it has been almost 1 week and it is still in Revision Submitted to Journal status. This journal has been so slow recently, sigh.

You may need to wait a little longer. It feels like you will be hired soon. I also went through a similar situation before, where my application was sent back for revision and it took a week for the process to continue. Just be patient and wait for the final decision. Good luck!

It has been 20 days since the first review and it has been in the status of "Revision Submitted to Journal". Does anyone know why? It's been waiting for too long.

Dude, you've been with the editor for too long. I received the first round of comments in July, 16 days after submission, and I have had 4 reviewers who together provided over 50 comments.

I recently submitted an article to a journal which has an extremely fast review process. It only took half a month to receive the first round of revision comments after submission. After revising and resubmitting, it was accepted for publication within a week of being sent for a second review. It is the most efficient journal I have ever submitted to.
