Submitted in November 2023, notified of formatting revisions in February of the following year, smoothly sent for review, returned for revisions three months later. Many issues were raised during the revision process, but they were addressed promptly and professionally. I thought acceptance would be quick and easy, but I ended up waiting for six months. I sent at least two emails to the editor inquiring about the status, but received no response. In late December 2024, I received a rejection email citing lack of innovation. It's frustrating that this wasn't brought up during the initial review, especially since the reviewers had no objections. After carefully studying the journal's publication schedule, I discovered that they release an issue every six months, with acceptance dates mostly falling in June and December. It seems they prefer to review and accept submissions in batches during these months, rejecting the rest for various reasons. Given the declining impact factor and ranking, I'm not sure if it's worth submitting to them again. I ended up submitting my article to a top-tier journal and it was accepted in February 2025, within just over two months.

The rejection was on December 30th, and it was not submitted for review. It looks like the manuscript has been delayed for so long without any reason.

The submission was made in early July 2024, and the status has always been "submitted to journal". I sent two emails to the editor in October, but received no response. Today is November 22nd, and there is no option to withdraw the submission in the submission system. The editor and editorial board are mostly from a university in Egypt, and they only accept 17 articles per year. Be cautious, as I have wasted four months in vain.
