Cardiovascular Diabetology is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal that considers manuscripts on all aspects of the diabetes/cardiovascular interrelationship and the dysmetabolic syndrome; this includes genetic, experimental, clinical, pharmacological, epidemiological, molecular biology and laboratory research.

Cardiovascular Diabetology aims to provide an address for all types of scientific communications related to the diabetes/cardiovascular interrelationship and the dysmetabolic syndrome. The impressive correlation between coronary artery disease and alterations in glucose metabolism has raised the likelihood that atherosclerosis and type 2 diabetes may share common antecedents.

This journal has always been mysterious, with a large number of indicators calculated from public data, which are actually combinations of low value. Surprisingly, they are all accepted, and the self-citation rate is ridiculously high. The operation of boosting impact factor by self-citation is unparalleled, which lowers the overall quality of the top tier. It should be kicked out of the top tier.

Encountering blood indicators, regardless of how they are analyzed, are promptly accepted, while encountering other research on cardiovascular metabolism is promptly rejected. There is no tolerance for any journal with a rating below ten points, and the reputation is too bad. With a high self-citation rate and a large proportion of Chinese researchers, be careful not to be put on hold...

Latest update: Submitted the fourth article and it was accepted. Feeling that TyG is getting harder to write, as the so-called advanced analysis is becoming more mainstream. Ideas are crucial. It feels like this journal might reach its peak this year, but with TyG losing its momentum and increasing resistance to database articles, a decline is imminent.

Reviewed a foreign TYG, made revisions, and the editor decided to make further changes. Half a month later, they directly informed me that it was accepted. I didn't even have a chance to review the revisions.

Having two articles rejected by self-submission is also exhausting. This journal is quite popular, with mixed reviews. In summary:

Academician group: roadside
Outstanding young group: water journal
Hat group: general journal
Senior professor group: good journal
Ordinary professor group: top journal
Mixed group: water journal + roadside

In short, the big groups look down on it, and it is still quite challenging for smaller groups to self-submit one article.

Yes, I tried submitting two articles to TyG, one was rejected immediately and the other was pending for half a month before also being rejected. The situation was completely different from what the public account had mentioned.

Several public accounts reposted TyG, causing many people to feel overwhelmed. Personally, I think it's okay.

I have seen others submit articles to journals like TYG, so I tried it as well. However, my submission was rejected within 24 hours. Interestingly, this magazine has invited me to review articles twice in a short period of time. The first time, there were many errors in the statistics and the labels in the results table were incorrect. The second time, the articles were on diabetes and bone diseases, which may not be within the scope of the journal. However, they still asked me to review them.

Brother, it's normal, very normal for this journal. It has almost become notorious. You might want to check out the analysis by a netizen who has been through the tyg process on the 70th floor. All of this is just a means for it to elevate its impact factor. I have been rejected many times for this reason. In recent years, this journal has gradually deviated from its original intention, and the editors bear a great responsibility. They basically only accept TyG and other indicators. I have seen that my institution used TyG to publish in this journal five or six years ago, and it was still accepted last year. The same batch of authors can still publish with TyG, with basically the same content and methods. That's why its self-citation rate is also very high. A doctoral student brother of mine confessed that he dare not submit his basic medical research to this journal for fear of being warned in the future. You have no idea how badly my other brother was criticized when he presented an article from this journal in a literature report. Many errors were found in the article. This journal is a prominent figure in both cardiovascular departments and basic medical laboratories, but here, being prominent is a derogatory term. The other day, when discussing with another brother, I mentioned how a journal is often criticized (not referring to this one), and my brother instinctively asked if it was this journal, which speaks volumes about its reputation. Its acceptance of TyG is shocking, and the errors are numerous, yet they still publish without hesitation. If you are not TyG, it is extremely unpredictable. The scope of submissions on the journal's homepage is just a decoration for the current editors.

I think that this journal had a diverse range of submissions when it was first established, but in recent years, it has gradually deviated from its original intention. The editors bear a great responsibility, as they have basically only been accepting submissions related to TyG and other indicators. I read the second issue, and my unit had used TyG to publish in this journal five or six years ago. Last year, they were still able to publish using TyG, with the same group of authors, and the content and methods were basically the same. Additionally, the self-citation rate is also very high. A doctoral brother of mine frankly admitted that he is afraid to submit his own basic medical research to this journal, fearing future warnings.

Oh my god, someone finally said it. This journal is outrageous. They only accept articles with certain indicators, the submission process is fast, and they reject articles quickly as well. I have submitted several times, but I refuse to write articles based on those indicators. I prefer articles on complex bioinformatics and genetics. So they rejected my articles, citing reasons like not fitting the theme, even though my research focuses on coronary heart disease, metabolic syndrome, and low-density lipoprotein. Their journal theme is just for show. If you search for high-scoring articles based on these indicators, you'll likely find many from this journal. However, many of them are not rigorous. One of my classmates presented an article from this journal at a literature seminar, and it was criticized by multiple professors for being inadequate.

This magazine used to only accept articles related to TyG, and had previously accepted 1 TyG article. However, when submitting articles related to other indicators later on, the rejection was very quick. It was much easier to submit older indicators. The key here is to initially submit a few commonly used indicators, and then reject them like crazy. Because if you write on related topics, you will inevitably cite their journal, which in turn keeps their journal impact factor high and gets your article sent for review at their discretion.

Rejecting and then resubmitting a paper is equivalent to a major revision. It is just a means for journals to control the submission cycle, of course they have to do it.

It has been a month and a half since the submission to receiving comments from external reviewers. Without conducting additional experiments, I wasted three weeks on revisions. After resubmitting, it took five days to receive acceptance. The submission was done as an amateur, with a common background in communication. However, one of the affiliated units has a collaboration laboratory with an academician, which may have a positive impact.

Review speed: 1.0 Experience sharing: The wish has come true. The first basic article was accepted, and after submission, it passed the technical check within a few days and was quickly sent for external review. The review came back after a month, and the reviewer did not require any additional experiments. After a few days of revisions, the article was accepted. It was about diabetic cardiomyopathy and iron death. I feel that the editor approves of the article, and the reviewer was probably satisfied. Good luck to everyone.

Trash magazines, specializing in collecting articles with various TYG-like indicators, numerous statistical methodological errors, and extremely poor quality. Is there insider trading going on? Clearly meeting the scope of the journal's submission, they are directly rejected with "not in line with the journal's scope", editors!!! Do you read the title? Do you read the abstract? Do you read the manuscript?
