Really ???, the journal has been promoted to Tier 1, and the number of submissions has increased drastically. The editors are overwhelmed and most submissions are "with editor". I really don't recommend submitting to this journal. Even though it is one of the top three journals in the field of chemical engineering, I suggest choosing the other two. If you are not in the field of chemical engineering and want to target Tier 1 journals, choose CEJ instead.
