I also submitted in July, and now I am in the same situation. The teacher speculates that perhaps the reviewers are unwilling to review or there may be some issues with the article, which is why it's taking so long (just speculation).

The article was submitted for review in early July, but there was no response for 2 months. Politely inquiring with the editor, I received a touching reply. My article is a bit niche, and out of 12 experts approached for review, only one accepted. The official recommendation was to submit to another journal, but I persisted. However, just as I received feedback from the first reviewer, I also received comments from a second reviewer, both praising the manuscript's innovation and professionalism. It felt like the reviewers were scholars in the same field in China, quite professional. The revised article was submitted in late November and accepted today. The whole process took 4 months, with over 2 months spent searching for reviewers.

Just got an article accepted for publication. After being rejected by both OE and AOR on the first review, I decided to submit to COE. Submitted in mid-March 2024, received major revisions in early June 2024, resubmitted in early July 2024, and finally accepted in late August 2024. The journal's processing speed was actually quite good, and the feedback provided was not overly critical.
