The journal is indexed in ESCI (the reserve team of SCIE in JCR journals) and will be assigned an impact factor starting in 2023, in the 4th district of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It mainly publishes articles in the fields of chemical engineering, biotechnology, food science, and related areas. Submissions are accepted via email, and the editors are friendly. After the initial review and plagiarism check, authors will be asked to recommend 4 potential reviewers who are not nationals of their own country. The review process is fast, taking about a month. The feedback provided is very constructive and can greatly improve the quality of the article. The journal is open access and does not require any fees. It is estimated that the journal has adopted this strategy in order to increase its impact and be included in SCIE as soon as possible.
