The next day after submission, the status in the system was already "Under Review". I thought it was still being edited at that time, but it remained in this status until the revisions were requested. Overall, the process was smooth and the review took about a month to return the results.

Submitting manuscripts is indeed a matter of luck. A fellow student of mine and I submitted to the same journal. He was accepted a few days later than me, but it was still quite close. It seems like fate.

Three reviewers, one rejection, not sure why the major revisions were accepted directly, luck was on my side, so sometimes submitting an article really depends on luck.
