End of April 25: Major revision, revised at the end of May. New reviewer assigned
End of June 25: Major revision, revised at the end of July. Few comments
Early September 25: Minor revision, revised in mid-September. Few comments, system showed reviewer completed, status remained with editor
End of January 26: Minor revision, revised at the end of February. Both reviewers accepted, editor took 4 months to provide comments, stated no new dataset contribution accepted and requested to update related work to the latest. Since revision, status remained submitted to journal. Considering withdrawing if it remains like this by June.
Editor seems inactive, cautious about submitting. Know a deputy editor of CII, asked for help, but still no effect. Suspect editor thinks the paper is too old and doesn't want it, rejecting it will affect submission data.

The fifth round of review was completed in October 25th, after revision for 10 months. Finally, the manuscript became "Under Review" in mid to late January following the SSC-With-1 round of review. However, one of the reviewers disappeared. The other reviewer also seemed to be in need of some "treatment", as there was no response for two months after resubmission. To summarize, the manuscript was submitted in October 24th, and all reviewers in the first four rounds of review, except for one who disappeared, had accepted the manuscript. Then, unexpectedly, the fifth round of review came with some inexplicable comments.

This journal is really outrageous. The submission has been pending for over a year now. During the second review, all six reviewers agreed, but the editor delayed it to the fourth review. The manuscript has been sitting with the editor for over three months now, and it has been discovered that it has been sent for external review again. This is a serious red flag.
