Received review comments on February 5, 2026 (1 minor revision, 1 major revision), editor requested major revision;
Submitted revised manuscript on February 22, 2026, the reviewer for the major revision still had the same opinions, asking for further revision;
Submitted revised manuscript on June 1, 2026, as the comments were common issues in the industry, it took a lot of time and effort to address them;
On June 30, 2026, the reviewer basically agreed with our modifications, but raised a new minor issue, editor requested minor revision;
Submitted revised manuscript again on July 4, 2026;
Accepted for publication on July 7, 2026.

It is very normal. The articles that are accepted are processed very quickly and sent out in a few days. The articles that are rejected usually drag on, and after a long time, the editors probably forget about them. In the end, the system keeps reminding and eventually rejects them.

It's really frustrating, the manuscript submitted in early April is still under review. I checked the articles published in the same field on AM in the past six months, and basically, they were all marked as "revision submitted" after about two months. T_T
