I have never seen a journal that moves so slowly. I submitted on April 10th, passed the Technical check and Editorial assignment the same day, and entered the "With editor" stage. The problem lies in the "With editor" stage, and it is still there as of June 1st. I emailed the editorial department and they replied that the manuscript is currently undergoing preliminary evaluation by the editor. I am puzzled by how this preliminary evaluation can last for almost two months. If there is no response in a few days, I have decided to withdraw the submission.
