I submitted my manuscript two months ago and was told that it did not fit the scope of the journal. It's not easy to submit to this journal: the editor at the "under review" stage didn't know what they were doing, it took until 6.5 to send it for review. After submission, it took a month to find the first reviewer, and after sending reminders to the editor, another batch of reviewers was finally invited. The second reviewer took a long time to provide the review results (but still, thanks to them, both reviews were positive and had few comments, so the editor requested major revisions). After resubmitting, I thought the second review would go smoothly, but the editor couldn't be contacted (their email was invalid, and their affiliation school had no record of them? I was dumbfounded). When I asked the editor's assistant about the situation, they only sent an email with no substantial resolution. After almost a month of waiting, I couldn't bear it and angrily emailed the journal's editor to inquire about the situation ? (though I was actually very polite ☺️). Guess what, the editor understood my concerns and directly accepted my submission ?. (Overall, this journal is quite fast, it just depends on whether the assigned editor is competent. With a competent editor, acceptance could be at least two months earlier, and scholarships could be awarded ?. But for now, I'm just glad to graduate ?).
