It's too slow, it's been four months since submission, three months of review, and initially only one person accepted the review. Later, a second reviewer could not be found. After writing a letter to urge, new reviewers were found, and currently four people have accepted the review, but the review has not been completed yet.

Submitting this article was a great experience. It is an old and influential journal in the field of environment. The development has been a bit slow in recent years, but steady progress is being made. Here is the submission process:
Oct. 28, 2024: Submitted
Oct. 29, 2024: Waiting for Editorial Decision (WE)
Oct. 30, 2024: Rejected and resubmitted (due to exceeding the word limit by far, a complaint: adding figures made it 8000 words!!!!!! The only downside!)
Nov. 3, 2024: Resubmitted
Nov. 4, 2024: Waiting for Editorial Decision (WE)
Nov. 5, 2024: Under Review (UR)
Nov. 21, 2024: Received feedback from two reviewers: minor revisions (15 issues in total), but the editor gave major revisions (MR)
Dec. 10, 2024: Revised
Dec. 11, 2024: Waiting for Editorial Decision (WE), immediately Under Review (UR) on the same day (Editor Hocheol Song from South Korea is excellent, very efficient in handling manuscripts! Amazing!)
Dec. 26, 2024: Revised, reviewers were very satisfied with the responses, recommended acceptance. However, the editor was very meticulous, pointed out word limit exceeded and suggested format modifications (minor revisions)
Jan. 4, 2025: Revised
Jan. 6, 2025: Accepted
