I wrote my draft using the final version's \documentclass[journal,twoside,web]{ieeecolor} or \documentclass[letterpaper, 10 pt, journal, twoside], which was compact and exactly 6 pages. Today, after reading the guidelines, I switched to \documentclass[letterpaper, 10 pt, conference]{ieeeconf} and it unexpectedly increased from 6 pages to 8-9 pages??? What should I do? Why can't the draft use the final version's template? Did I misunderstand something?
