The journal is destined to doom. Non-sense paper on dye- degradation (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rineng.2026.111741) where none of the results support the the article title. Moreover, the XRD data were not compared to any standard PCPDF card, the FTIR data were explained randomly. No dye-degradation results. SEM figures random particle size count. How peer-reviewers and editors were so blind. And it took 26 days from submission to acceptance.

In general, it won't work. You have to see how long it takes for your paper to be edited - some take one or two days, some take up to a week. Then there's the situation with the reviewers - some reviewers take 1-2 weeks to accept a paper, and the review process itself takes another 1-2 weeks. To make matters worse, my reviewer has disappeared.
