This review is a bit absolute. On the one hand, being listed in UTD24 does not necessarily mean top-tier (not to mention, dddd), journals like MathOR and MP are also widely recognized by peers; on the other hand, there are many "second-tier" journals that are slightly below top-tier but still significantly better than EJOR, they just haven't been included in ABS 4 by European peers, such as TS, NRL, IISE, and so on.

There are several journals between EJOR and UTD, such as TS TRB IISE NRL DS.

It's a bit funny that TS is ranked as ABS 3-star. EJOR and TRB are both 4-star and are basically equivalent (EJOR focuses more on optimization algorithms, while TRB focuses more on mathematical analysis of transportation issues). OR/MS is ranked as 4-star+. TS (which focuses on transportation fundamentals) should fall between OR/MS and EJOR/TRB.
