To be honest, it is becoming increasingly difficult to submit to MDPI now. The review comments are quite professional and the reviewers are very responsible. The speed is still acceptable and it is friendly to both undergraduate students applying for graduate school and graduate students graduating. However, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) ranking is really low, only Q1 in JCR CAS Zone 4. Below is the timeline:

The whole process was very fast, submitted on 4.29 and got accepted the next day. Despite the May Day holiday period, the speed was still very impressive, and it was online in early June. Two reviewers provided feedback, one major revision was suggested, which I completed quickly and happily accepted. It seems that the reviewers only suggested minor revisions, while the editor's major revision was completed within 10 days. I submitted in the morning and received an acceptance in the afternoon on the same day, resolving my major issue. The overall experience was very good, my editor was very attentive and friendly, with constant email interaction to solve my problems and timely responses. For those under time pressure, I recommend submitting for a try, even if it doesn't match the journal's theme, you will receive a quick response without having to wait anxiously.
