The journal is being investigated for colluding with intermediaries and paper mills, resulting in the removal of editors and chief editors, leading to a slow process (although reviews are not as slow). It is recommended that everyone check the warning new list before submitting. WB requires full disclosure, and although it used to be very fast, submissions would be withdrawn due to the inability to find reviewers. Now, with the investigation, they have become stricter.

Submitted in early July, reviewed within three days, major and minor revisions completed in August. However, the final decision was not made after the last round of revisions, waiting for almost a month. Finally accepted for publication in mid-September.

Submission process: Submitted on June 19th, the manuscript passed the technical review on the same day. Requested to make changes to the format on June 22nd, mainly involving ethical content and WB's raw data. Asked to resubmit the untrimmed WB bands on July 4th (Note: The research group had to resubmit three times before it was finally accepted because all bands were trimmed), and it has been in the "with editor" stage since then. On August 19th, it showed that the manuscript was in the peer review stage, and the overall efficiency was quite fast. The reason for the delay of two months before submission was mainly due to the bands not being fully trimmed, which delayed the data processing. Therefore, it is recommended for everyone to prepare the raw, untrimmed bands in advance, and the results will continue to be updated in the future...
