The paper was submitted in April 25th, and the first revision was in July. The two reviewers' opinions were quite fair, and the changes needed were minor. However, after the revision, the two original reviewers disappeared. It was not until October that a third reviewer was arranged by the editor after I wrote a letter urging them. Fortunately, the third reviewer approved my article, so it entered the editing stage. The editor was very professional, not only helping to revise the language expression directly but also providing suggestions on the writing logic of the content. The editing process, including language, format, and other minor issues, lasted at least three rounds. Finally, I received the acceptance notice at the end of December. The publication fee was equivalent to CNY 25000+, and the formal publication took about 2 weeks after the wire transfer. The magazine, despite being slow, had no problems.

Submitted a review article on stroke-related topics, but it has been stuck with the editor for 5 months without being sent out for external review. Generally, OA journals with editors reply within a week or at most a month. It's frustrating that this journal has been silent for 5 months, and the submission platform from Springer is also misleading with a note in small print during the "With editor" stage stating, "The duration of this stage depends on the time taken for the editor to consider peer review opinions." I mistakenly thought it had already been reviewed externally and was just waiting for an update. After one month, I followed up once, and then again after 3 months, but the responses were very formal. To top it off, on New Year's Eve, they finally sent me a rejection letter. This is not how I wanted to start the year! Additionally, unlike other journals that at least provide some explanation, they simply rejected it without giving any reasons. It's up to everyone to make their own judgment.
