After more than eight months of first review, Research Square showed that only one reviewer provided comments. The editor-in-chief directly rejected the submission, citing only the limitations of the article, and did not even provide the reviewer's comments before rejecting it. This journal is particularly tricky, as it invited 12 reviewers over the span of 8 months, with only one reviewer agreeing to review the submission. Emails requesting updates were also left unanswered
