I submitted my manuscript a few days ago and it got DIPed. They have been keeping me hanging and not giving me a direct rejection. This journal is really disgusting. Be cautious when submitting to them!!!

How can the review process be completed with only one reviewer? Isn't it usually 2-3 reviewers? And the system already shows DIP, without RRC, I feel like it's going to be rejected. Has anyone else encountered this situation?

It was pretty fast, submitted for review within 5 days, minor revisions after a month and a half, 20 days for revisions, and accepted upon return.

The efficiency is very high, basically rejected in three to four days after submission. It took ten submissions to be sent for review once. I feel that Food Control is still a relatively difficult journal to get into.
