The submission was made on December 23, 2024, and has been "with editor" since then. I have written to the editor to inquire about the status, and the response has always been that there is a backlog of manuscripts.

On April 1, 2025, the status changed to "under review."

On July 12, 2025, it was updated to "required review complete."

On July 22, the submission system showed "with editor," and on July 23, the Elsevier app displayed "review complete."

On August 13, 2025, I received a reminder from the editor that there is a backlog of manuscripts, but my submission is still being processed. I am unsure how much longer I will have to wait.

It's been 48 days since the editor hasn't made any progress. During this period, they asked me to black out the author's information once. I reminded them a few days ago but there was no response.
