Our situation is similar, both of us received manuscripts for review from the journal before the beginning of the year. One of us completed the review, while the other has not finished yet. I sent a reminder in mid-March, and a week later they invited a few more reviewers. However, the new reviewers have not accepted the review invitations. This journal is really slow, and there are no reviewers completing the reviews.

October 27, 2025 - Under review, invited 8 reviewers, with 2 agreeing within about a week, one completing the review in around three days, while the other has not reviewed yet
January 19, 2026 - Invited 9 more reviewers, none agreed to review
March 22, 2026 - Sent a reminder to the editorial office through the system, received a reply saying they have reached out to the editor, but still no progress
As of now, it has been under review for 5 and a half months.

The time spent by reviewers is not the same as the review time. Reviewers generally do not spend more than 1 day on a review.

Submitted on August 2nd, under editorial review the same day, sent for review three weeks later on August 23rd, major revisions requested on September 9th, revisions resubmitted on September 28th, and sent for review again on September 30th. Two out of three reviewers did not accept the review invitation, and the editor has not taken any further action on the manuscript since then.
