Three reviewers: 1 major revision, 1 minor revision, 1 rejection. The editor decided on rejection. The reviewer who recommended rejection said that the research topic of the manuscript should be submitted to an AI journal, as TKDE does not accept articles on AI applications. However, a few months later, I saw a review article related to my research area published in TKDE, which left me speechless. Although the review process was fast, the reviewers did not provide valuable feedback, suggesting not to submit if the direction is not strongly related or not within their community.
