In March, I submitted my article for review. There were 5 reviewers, 4 revisions, and 1 rejection. The feedback for revisions amounted to 40 pages. Eventually, all 5 reviewers agreed to accept the article, but the editor rejected it, citing that it did not fit the theme of the journal. It's frustrating dealing with such an editor - if it didn't fit the theme, why was it sent for review and why were revisions requested? It's a waste of six months of my time. The editor is not being reasonable.
