I didn't expect this magazine to have such strict length requirements, with one image or table equivalent to 280 words, and the total word count including references cannot exceed 6500 words...

For a paper on robotics, you basically need at least 10 figures, which translates to 2800 words. Adding references, it should be around 500 words, making it 3300 words.

The first time, the editor-in-chief (EIC) rejected my submission and asked me to research aspects leaning towards humanities (far beyond the scope of robotics) and incorporate them into the methodology of robotics; at the same time, this EIC also believed that a series of computer experiments I conducted were not enough, and asked me to incorporate the methodology into real frontline practice, conduct a large number of visits and follow-up verifications...
