My first reviewer rejected my article with a single sentence: "...only combimee A and B ... no speicific ... trivial framework." This person even misspelled words; the second reviewer initially praised my article, then suddenly requested unrelated content to be added specifically quoting from his own two articles, ultimately giving me a major revision. This is where the dragon meets the phoenix. I advise everyone not to blindly submit to Elsevier just because they are fast, their speed is due to editors having KPIs, and having KPIs means they are not responsible. If you have confidence in your work, submit to IEEE TRANS, at least they are responsible.

In the fastest case ever, from submission to two rounds of revisions, and then to acceptance, the whole process took about 40 days (with approximately 20 days spent on revising the paper in between). I felt the speed of the editors and reviewers was beyond imagination. Authors who have published in Information Sciences, could you please share how long it takes from acceptance to the actual publication (i.e. when the paper has specific page numbers)? I am concerned that the official publication may be too fast, and I hope the paper will be officially published after January 1, 2027.
